This contemporary, modern custom home replaced an aged duplex in Old Town Fort Collins. The exterior features a standing-seam metal roof, metal wood-clad windows, and locally quarried stone.
Inside, we used balanced ventilation with a heat recovery ventilator and radiant in-floor heat under the white oak pre-finished floors. NAUF (no added urea formaldehyde) cabinets and trim help keep indoor emissions from building materials at a minimum. The indoor/outdoor living and dining area features NanaWall folding glass doors for wide-open easy deck access with a folding pass-through window over the kitchen counter.
For convenience, a carriage house with its own garage space provides living quarters for in-laws or a nanny, or a luxurious retreat for guests. A separate wing offers access to the home office to keep business separate when clients come to call.
