MAINTENANCE FREE HOME BUILD

Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s) for the exterior shell, the metal siding and steel panels are designed to balance with the character of the heat-modified wood siding via Vintage Woods out of Gypsum, Colorado.

Inspired by a major portion of her childhood spent on her grandparents’ farm and the majestic rolling landscape of the property, the term moon-farm describes a raw inspiration that has endless potential. An artist at heart, the homeowner had never enjoyed a dedicated studio space for painting and the creative process that has been part of her entire life.

Situated on 120 acres and over a ½ mile from the road, this property has unlimited views in all directions, with the artist studio overlooking the prairie and mountains and an in-home office with views to the south that allows the husband to run his consultation business from home and keeps the family grounded on the property year-round. The cantilevered view deck is the perfect spot in which to view the mountains to the west or watch summer storms forming to the north, making their way across northern Colorado.

A true maintenance-free home built via Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s) for the exterior shell, the metal siding and steel panels are designed to balance with the character of the heat-modified wood siding via Vintage Woods out of Gypsum, Colorado.

Steel is the motif for the home with exposed structural steel at the exterior cantilever, steel stairs & screens to the artist studio lookout tower, steel clad front door via Pin & Scroll woodworking, fireplace surround and kitchen island & wine bar panels to give the home a contemporary balance of warmth hovering between industrial and modern, but inviting and cozy, with stained white oak floors, slick wall gypsum finishes, wallpaper accents and built-ins for plenty of storage.
