Custom Deck Remodeling
It’s time for a deck remodeling project when your existing deck is small, weathered, and not very friendly, especially when you’re looking for the perfect spot to spend a quiet moment reading by yourself, enjoy family time at the end of a busy day, host a large gathering of friends for food and drink, or watch a full moon rise early evening. And that’s what the remodel project became!
The homeowners’ new deck became a prime gathering area and features built-in benches, intimate lighting, and an outdoor kitchen including solid surface counters, hot and cold water, refrigerator, and multiple grilling options, all to make this custom deck the focal point for being together.

My husband and I began our business relationship with Barry Schram of Lamar Valley Craftsman in the spring of 2011. We hired Barry as the general contractor for our deck project. His policy of having his clients pay only exactly the amount his subcontractors charge set Barry apart from the other contractors that we considered for the job. Barry had a set fee for his services, and then provided copies of each and every invoice that he received from his subcontractors. Barry’s open book policy gave my husband and me peace of mind. As we began to work together, my husband and I observed Barry’s strong work ethic and professionalism. We also observed and appreciated the mutual respect and trust that was very apparent between Barry and all of his subcontractors. Each and every person who was at our home working on the project was respectful, pleasant and patient. Working with Barry on our deck project was a pleasure. We have thoroughly enjoyed using our deck since it was built. Family members and friends have all commented on the beauty and functionality of our wonderful new deck. We will enjoy it for many years to come.
