Tearing down an existing bungalow is not always the best use of an asset, but when it sits on an old stone foundation, insulation in the walls is hard to find, it contains mold, and it has leaky, single-pane windows – well you get the picture.
The new bungalow in its place honors the homeowner, the site, and Old Town Fort Collins with its modern craftsman look. It features ground and polished concrete floors at the lower level, acid-stained concrete on the main floor, and hickory hardwood floors on the second level that will stand up to the most active family for many years to come. In-floor radiant heat keeps the family warm in the winter, while proper design that utilizes existing trees for shading along with a Tamarack whole house fan keeps everyone comfortable in the summer. Sierra Pacific clad windows, solid surface counters, and tile throughout make this modern custom bungalow fun for all.
